Road Construction
Roads and paved surfaces built for Ghana's climate and traffic demands.
Roads and paved surfaces designed for the actual traffic loading and rainfall intensity they will face — not a generic specification that deteriorates within two seasons.
Scope
- Road design and horizontal/vertical alignment
- Asphalt laying and surface course works
- Subbase and road base construction
- Kerbing, paving and pedestrian walkways
- Bridge and culvert construction
- Road markings and line painting
- Traffic signs and signage installation
- Traffic management planning and implementation
- Parking lots and hardstanding areas
- Storm drainage design and construction along roads
- Pothole repairs and road rehabilitation
- Site access roads and estate internal roads
Approach
Route design and drainage
Alignment, gradients and stormwater drainage designed together so surface water clears the carriageway under heavy rainfall, not just in dry conditions. Culverts and drainage channels sized for peak flow.
Pavement construction
Subbase, base course and surface layer specified for the actual traffic loading — commercial vehicle axle weights, frequency and turning movements — so the pavement performs under real-world conditions.
Finishing and safety
Road markings, signage, kerbing and traffic management details completed to standard before handover, so the road is safe to use from day one with no outstanding items left to the client.
Outcomes
- Roads built to specification and traffic loading
- Properly drained carriageways
- Clear, durable road markings and signage
- Documented as-built survey records
